Austral Fisheries fleet of nine trawlers operates in the Northern Prawn Fishery, off the north coast of Australia. The Fishery is highly regulated and produces the following species:

By-catch in the Northen Prawn Fishery
In addition to our prawn target species, our vessels catch reasonable quantities of Moreton Bay Bugs, Squid, Cuttlefish, Leader prawns, Octopus and Pomfret. All by-catch is generally packed un-graded into random weight bulk cartons.
